Hale Kayalar & Koray Kırca Creates The Ring Table Lamp
Hale Kayalar & Koray Kırca, the project leader of the displayed work Ring - Table Lamp by Hale Kayalar & Koray Kırca says, Our design emerged as a reaction to natural resources being depleted by the never-ending need of technology. The wooden parts of the design reflects the nature and tradition while the two twisted metal parts represent time. The metal cage, that these metals parts merge into, is used to remind us how technology traps the world and thus humanity like a bird in a cage. Nevertheless, the design also gives hope to humanity that all is not lost by implementing a light inside this cage. .
